THERE will be no time for sulking about their latest defeat or feeling sorry for themselves at Petersfield Town as the games keep on coming thick and fast.

The Rams have given themselves a busy schedule as they continue to search for that winning formula which has deserted them for much of the current season.

Saturday’s 6-1 defeat at Arlesey Town did little for morale in the Rams camp but they have an immediate chance to put things right, starting this weekend.

Petersfield were due to have a blank weekend after their early exit from the FA?Cup but they agreed to move their scheduled trip to Marlow, which was due to be played on Boxing Day, to this coming Saturday instead.

The Rams follow this up with a trip to Wessex League side AFC?Portchester in the Hampshire Senior Cup next Tuesday night (7.45pm).

Manager Andy Neal believes the busy schedule will help to gel his squad together as it continues to take shape. Saturday brought the addition of new goalkeeper Aaron Bufton from Gosport Borough and he was joined at Petersfield by new goalkeeping coach Tom Best.

Neal said: “We know how Marlow play, having faced them on the Bank Holiday.

“We did well against them in the first half of that match and we can come up with a game plan which will hopefully help us on Saturday.

“All of the lads want to play matches at the moment. We need to work on being better prepared for them.”
