PETERSFIELD Town’s travelling army of supporters may have thought their long away trips were behind them – but think again.

The Rams face the longest trip in the Wessex League this Saturday when they travel to Portland United (ko 3pm).

Petersfield supporters probably thought long away journeys had disappeared with their Southern League status but this Dorset away day rivals their longest step four level trips to Histon last season and AFC?Rushden and Diamonds at Wellingborough in 2015.

The round trip to Portland comes in at just over 200 miles – only 30 miles shorter than to Histon.
