Petersfield Town 1 Baffins Milton Rovers 3: PETERSFIELD Town marked their return to Wessex League football with a defeat at Love Lane on Tuesday night.

Played in front of a bumper crowd of 135 spectators, the Rams went behind in the first half but equalised through Will Essai.

At that stage it looked like they could go on and claim a victory but Baffins proved too strong for them in the second period and went on to score two more goals.

The goalscorers for Baffins were Joel Jackson, Tyler Moret and Lewis Stockford.

Petersfield will be awaiting news on the fitness of defender Chris Harvey who hobbled off with a painful injury during the second half of the game.
