PETERSFIELD Town manager Ian Saunders looked at the league fixture list for the new campaign and declared – I can’t wait for us to get under way.
Fixtures for the full season were published by the Evo-Stik League Southern last Friday, and the Rams will start their Division 1 Central season at Chalfont St Peter on August 6.
The first action at Love Lane comes just three days later with a mouth watering North Hampshire derby clash against Farnborough on August 9.
The Rams boss is “buzzing” for the new season and he can’t wait for the first match to kick-off – which is now just 17 days away.
Saunders said: “We have to play all of the teams twice so in some respects in doesn’t really matter who we play and when.
“But it is always exciting to see the full fixture list and work out where you are playing and when and to see when you face certain sides.
“Chalfont away will be a good match to start with and we will be going there looking to start with a win.
“Farnborough at home for our first home game is great for us too – I’m sure that will bring in a fair sized crowd.”
The Rams will face Basingstoke Town in the first round of the League Cup. The tie is to be played in week commencing October 3.
In the Hampshire Senior Cup, Petersfield face a trip to Romsey Town or AFC?Portchester in the second round during week commencing September 19.
