YOUNGSTERS are being given the chance to watch Petersfield Town for free this season.

All under-16s who attend the club’s Family Fun Day, being held at the Love Lane Stadium this Saturday, will be able to claim their free season ticket on the day.

The initiative will allow youngsters to watch all of the Rams’ Wessex League and Wyvern League matches free of charge during 2017-18.

Not only will under-16s be able to claim a free season ticket at the Family Fun Day, there will also be plenty of football-related activities for them to enjoy too.

They will be able to try zorb football and football darts, as well as seeing if they have the hardest shot at the event by taking part in the speed gun challenge.

Chairman Graeme Moir said:?“It is important for clubs like ours to encourage young people to support us.

“If we can get them interested from an early age hopefully they will continue to follow the club in adult life and will regularly come and watch matches at Love Lane.

“We have an important season coming up, a campaign where we need to rebuild and push forwards.

“We need supporters of all ages to get behind the team as our fans can really make a difference to our team and have an effect on the opposition when they come and play at the Lane.”

The free season ticket offer for under-16s is only available to claim at the family fun day. A form will need to be filled in by an adult.
