THE POOR weather has washed out Petersfield Town’s chances of making progress on the pitch in the last seven days.

Last Wednesday’s game against Northwood and Saturday’s encounter with Godalming Town – both due to be played at Love Lane – were postponed after the heavy downpours left the playing surface waterlogged.

Club officials are not overly hopeful that Wednesday’s home match against Potters Bar Town will go ahead as the Love Lane pitch is in poor shape after Sunday’s deluges.

A pitch inspection is likely to be held late on Wednesday afternoon. The Rams are at Aylesbury on Saturday.
