PETERSFIELD Town’s reserve side were in action on Saturday, as their Hampshire Trophy match away to the first team of Frimley Select was one of the few games in the area to survive the weather and go ahead.

In a disappointing display the visitors went down 4-1, with Ollie Purser netting for the Rams.

The reserve team will host Alton’s reserve team at Love Lane on Saturday afternoon in the Wyvern Combination Football League East Division (3pm).

Sunday’s youth team game at home to United Services Portsmouth Youth in the Hampshire Youth League Cup fell victim to the weather and was postponed.
