A RESIDENT living close to Petersfield Town’s Love Lane stadium has managed to shed some light on how a stand roof was ripped away from the rest of the structure.
The Post reported last week how club officials found the roof of their new stand ripped away from its usual position on New Year’s Day.
A?resident living nearby has revealed the damage took place at about 11.30pm on the evening of New Year’s Eve.
They said: “It was very windy around that time and after one gust of wind I?heard a loud banging noise coming from the club. I?just thought it was someone letting off some fireworks early.”
