PETERSFIELD Town’s under-17 side booked their place in the League Cup final over the weekend.

The young Rams beat AFC Portchester’s under-17 side 7-1 in their semi final to set up the chance of winning some silverware in the final, which will be held at Portchester on May 8.

Petersfield, who currently sit in second place in the Mid Solent League’s under-17s Division, went down to ten men early on against Portchester.

But the Rams dominated possession and slowly wore the opposition down – as they have done to teams all season – and their patience paid off as the goals steadily started to go in.

Will Hedley helped himself to a hat-trick for the Rams, and Petersfield’s other goals were scored by Bailey Newbury (2) and Marvin Orepo (2).
