PETERSFIELD Town’s youth team got their Hampshire County Youth League campaign off to a winning start by coming from behind twice to beat United Services 3-2 on Sunday.

The young Rams have taken some heavy beatings in recent seasons at HMS Temeraire but they made up for all of those by grabbing three points from their first league game of the new season.

It was a fairly even game with both sides battling hard to get the upper hand and there were some good finishes for the goals by both teams.

Alex Macri and a double from Alfred Collins gave Petersfield the three points and put them third in the table after the first round of matches.

The youth team are in action again tonight (Wednesday) when they entertain Hamworthy United in the FA?Youth Cup at Love Lane (7.45pm).

The winners will go through to the first qualifying round to play Weymouth or Fareham.
