PETERSFIELD Town manager Ian Saunders returns to the dugout this weekend roaring “I’m raring to go again”.
The Rams boss has missed the last seven matches due to Army business taking him away from Love Lane.
But the imposing figure will resume his place, and his vocals, on the touchline on Saturday, back from duty in time to watch his team in action at Kings Langley.
When he left at the beginning of October the Rams were second from bottom in the Division 1 Central table.
Although they got knocked out of the FA Cup and Red Insure League Cup while Saunders was away, assistant manager Jason Hampson has steered Petersfield into a mid-table position on the back of a five game unbeaten run.
The Rams boss will be hoping his return will galvanise yet further the return to the kind of form which took them to the Wessex League title last season.
“I have been watching the results come in while I have been away,” said Saunders.
“It has been brilliant and I am over the moon with how things have gone while I’ve been away.
“But I can’t wait to get involved again – I’ve been buzzing hearing about all the victories we have had.
“We need to just keep on doing whatever it is we have been doing in recent weeks.
“I’ve missed the lads and being involved but I am sure we can keep this unbeaten run of form going and keep climbing the table.”
