HORNDEAN finished their season in seventh heaven as they earned a comprehensive 7-0 victory at home to Newport IOW in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division last Tuesday night.

Harry Jackson opened the scoring for the Five Heads Park outfit in the 28th minute, and Sam Hookey doubled Horndean’s advantage on 32 minutes.

Jackson scored his second and the home side’s third goal in the 42nd minute, and Miles Everett made it 4-0 to the Deans on 51 minutes.

Connor Duffin scored the fifth in the 60th minute, and Liam Kimber made it 6-0 on 86 minutes.

Fuzz Kanjanda completed the scoring when he made it 7-0 to the Five Heads Park outfit in the 89th minute.

The three points meant Horndean finished in fourth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division this season, which is the club’s highest ever finish in the division.

The Deans won 24 league matches, drew seven and lost 11 matches to finish with 79 points from their 42 matches this season.

Michael Birmingham’s side scored 94 league goals and conceded 55.
