PETERSFIELD Town manager Mark Summerhill was delighted with his side’s display as they swept aside Folland Sports.

The Rams fired in six goals as they romped to a 6-1 win on Saturday.

Summerhill said: “We’ve been threatening a big win for a while. We were 2-0 up at half time and it could easily have been five by then.

“We missed some golden chances and their keeper made some good saves.”

Matt Rowland (2), Gari Judd (2), Michael Wright and Luca Williams were on the scoresheet for the Rams.

“I’m really pleased for Gari,” said Summerhill.

“He was in and out of the squad earlier in the season but he was our man-of-the-match on Saturday.

“Luca is a young lad who came off the bench and took his goal really well.

“I’m also really pleased for Michael, who is a fantastic footballer.”

The Rams have won their last three league games, and the upturn in form has coincided with the arrival of goalkeeper Nick Hall, player-coach Richie Way and first team coach Alex Bone.

Summerhill added: “We felt we needed to freshen things up and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we’ve won three league games in a row.

“Nick Hall has been outstanding and has only conceded one goal in three games, and we’ve scored ten goals in those games.

“We were on a long run without a win, but now after three consecutive league wins confidence is high.”
