PETERSFIELD Town manager Mark Summerhill is looking forward to his side’s Russell Cotes Cup quarter-final tie away at Christchurch in the new year.

The tie is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, January 8, and the Rams will be underdogs against a Christchurch side who play in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.

Summerhill said: “The quarter-final will be a nice distraction from the league.

“The match will be a free hit for us, but we tend to play well against the better sides. We’re always confident and we have a resilient bunch.”
