PETERSFIELD Town have confirmed their full coaching line-up for the 2018-19 season, with one of the club’s title-winning players returning for his third spell at the club.
Danny Thompson is back at the SureFix Home Improvements Stadium ahead of the new campaign to take up a player/co-manager role with the first team.
He will be working alongside manager Mark Summerhill as the club prepares for life in the Wessex League’s first division.
Daniel Trussler has already been announced as assistant manager with the first team and Matt Collins remains as coach.
Summerhill is pleased to have finally completed his new-look coaching set-up ahead of pre-season training, which starts in under two weeks’ time.
He added: “I am delighted to bring in Danny alongside me. When chairman John Geddes gave me carte blanche to restructure the football side of the club, it was clear I needed someone alongside me to manage first team affairs.
“Danny brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him.”
Thompson was part of the Wessex Premier Division winning side in 2014-15 and he returned to the club for a spell last season as well.
He said: “Myself, Mark and the rest of the coaching team will be giving their all to get this club back on the front foot and hopefully playing Wessex Premier football again in the near future.”
