HORNDEAN had a good week, picking up two wins.

The Deans started their week with a 3-1 win at home to Amesbury Town in the Sydenhams Wessex League Cup last Tuesday night.

Alfie Lis broke the deadlock for the hosts in the fourth minute, although Robbie Owen equalised for Amesbury on 22 minutes. Lis restored Horndean’s lead in the 27th minute, and Will Codling made it 3-1 to the Five Heads Park outfit on 89 minutes.

The Deans then won 5-0 at home to Andover New Street in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division on Saturday afternoon.

Lis and Harry Jackson (4) scored the goals.
