HORNDEAN had a good week in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division after earning two victories.

The Deans started their week with an impressive 3-1 win at home to Brockenhurst last Tuesday night (February 21).

The hosts took the lead in the first half through Mark Smith’s goal.

Jack Maloney’s penalty in the second half doubled Horndean’s advantage, although Mark Baker pulled a goal back for the visitors.

Maloney then scored another penalty to make it 3-1 and seal the win for the home side.

The Deans then earned a comprehensive 6-0 win at home to Cowes Sports on Saturday.

Sam Smart gave the hosts the lead, and Ashley Leigh doubled Horndean’s advantage.

Smart made it 3-0 before half time, and Maloney’s penalty after the break made it four.

Joe Richardson then added two goals to make it six of the best for the home side.
