THE NEED to push on with their own plans for next season killed the groundshare idea, according to Petersfield Town chairman Graeme Moir.

He explained:?“We waited as long as we could to incorporate Liss into our plans for next season but there comes a point where you have to look after your own business.

“We reached the end of our season and we needed to communicate our plans for the next campaign to our players so we can work to keep those players we want on board.

“We were very open to the idea of a groundshare here at Love Lane – and we will be again in the future. I’m sorry things didn’t work out with Liss.”
