HORNDEAN had a mixed week in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division with a win, a draw and a defeat.

The Deans started their week with a 1-0 defeat at Shaftesbury last Thursday night.

Sean Thompson’s goal in the 92nd minute gave the home side the three points.

Horndean then drew 1-1 at home to Portland United on Saturday afternoon.

Tom Bearwish gave the visitors the lead, but Mark Smith earned the Deans a share of the spoils.

Horndean completed their week with a 3-1 win at Hamble Club on Monday evening.

Miles Everett gave the visitors the lead, and Everett then doubled Horndean’s advantage when he made it 2-0.

Harry Jackson made it 3-0 to the Five Heads Park outfit in the second half, before Nick Watts pulled a goal back for the home side.

The Deans are now in sixth place in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division.
