THE LONG wait for football at Love Lane could be over tonight (Wednesday).
Petersfield Town officials are hopeful their game against Potters Bar Town (7.45pm) will beat the weather and be the first game played at the stadium in 59 days.
The last action came on December 19 when the Rams beat Leighton Town. The poor weather has wiped out every scheduled match since that date.
Petersfield will also be at home on Saturday (3pm) when they host Beaconsfield SYCOB.
Next Tuesday evening the Rams head 87 miles north to take on Aylesbury in Division 1 Central (7.45pm).
