Petersfield Ladies 4 Andover Ladies II 4: PETERSFIELD Ladies hosted Andover Ladies’ second team in their last game before the Christmas break.

The visitors started brightly and opened the scoring in the first few minutes of the game.

Andover didn’t drop their intensity, and they scored their second goal in the opening ten minutes.

Petersfield responded well. Sinclair demonstrated her skill down the middle of the pitch and the hosts were awarded a short corner. Bardoe injected the ball to Easton, who hit it into the left-hand corner of the goal.

Petersfield then won another short corner and got themselves back on level terms as Sinclair scored before half time.

Andover had the push back at the start of the second half, but Hedges turned over the ball. Hedges fed the ball back to Easton, who transferred it to Bardoe. Bardoe passed up the line to Sinclair, who dribbled into the D and hit the ball between the keeper and the left-hand post.

Petersfield went on an attack up the right-hand side of the pitch and the ball was fed across to Hedges, who deflected it past the keeper.

A goal was indicated, but the second umpire challenged the decision and the goal was disallowed. Easton challenged the over-ruling, and both captains received green cards.

In the final 15 minutes Andover scored two more goals, while Sinclair completed her hat-trick with a flick over the keeper as the game finished 4-4.
