Petersfield under-13 Pirates 8 Aldershot Youth under-13s 5: PETERSFIELD under-13 Pirates entertained Aldershot Youth under-13s at Penns Place on Sunday.

Petersfield lost against Aldershot last season and were apprehensive before the game. The Pirates took time to settle, but Will scored to make it 1-0. Aldershot only had nine men, and Petersfield led 3-1 at the break.

An own goal in the second half made it 4-1 to the Pirates, but a lack of concentration let Aldershot back in at 4-3. Petersfield increased their lead when Max curled his shot into the top corner, and although Aldershot pulled one back, Tom Chads’ quickfire hat-trick made it 8-4 to the Pirates. From then on, Petersfield defended well and kept the score to 8-5.
