PETERSFIELD Golf Club ladies wanted to commemorate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee by holding an annual stableford competition open to those with handicaps higher than 36.5.

Jackie Kistner was runner-up in the inaugural competition, two points behind winner Sandra Redfern, who was presented with the trophy by lady vice-captain Jennifer Neal.

Lady captain Jane Terry said: “This was our way to remember a long and memorable reign by the late Queen and, after the sadness of her death, we can continue to remember her and her dutiful service.”

Sandra Redfern amassed 42 points, beating Jackie Kistner (40 points) with third place taken by Jill Fey, who was two points further adrift on 38 points.
