HAMPSHIRE Golfer Scott Gregory ended his US Open debut at Erin Hills with an impressive round of 75 shots, three over par.
The 22-year-old golfer from Waterlooville finished alongside Bubba Watson and above fellow Brit Rory McIlroy, who ended the day on a disappointing 78, six shots over par.
American Rickie Fowler tops the leaderboard at 65, seven shots under par. He was followed by Paul Casey and Xander Schauffele - who both finished on six under par.
Brooks Koepka, who played a practice round with Gregory last week, occupied third place, alongside Brian Harmen and Tommy Fleetwood – all at five shots under par.
Gregory tees off again today (Friday) at 7.58pm UK time.
