LIPHOOK Golf Club held its annual captains’ drive-in on Sunday.

The drive-in is a regular event following the club’s annual general meeting and prize giving.

The drive-in involves the incoming captains driving off the first tee after members have placed markers on or around the green indicating where both balls might land. Money raised from the purchase of numbered markers traditionally goes to the captains’ nominated charities

The Hunter Centre in Haslemere, which provides day care for those with dementia and provides support and respite for their carers, is the captains’ joint-charity of choice for 2019. With the money raised by the club the Hunter Centre to expand its services and reach more people. The drive-in was followed by the traditional curry lunch.
