THE LADIES section of Petersfield Golf Club have been lucky with the weather and have played a number of competitions.
June Smith and Susan Lee won the Greensomes on Tuesday, November 22, with 30 points. Jenny Smith and Heather Anderson were second with 29 points, and Pam Carter and Julia Blake were third with 29 points.
Jane Terry, Phyl Phillips and Ann James won the Yellow Peril on Monday, November 28, with 78 points. Jill Fey, Gill Major and Nikki Mustchin were second with 74 points, and Pam Carter, Fiona Maxwell and Julia Blake were third with 74 points.
Brenda Vangrove, Gill Major and Fran Dowty won the Texas Scramble on Tuesday, December 6, with 45 points. Maire Stradling, Louise Andrews and Jenny Milner-Smith were second with 45 points, and Susan Lee, Mary Ellam and Ann James were third with 42 points.
Jenny Wiseman won the Christmas Stableford over nine holes on Tuesday, December 13, with 17 points. Lesley Eaton was second with 16 points, and Jennifer Neal was third with 15 points.
The ladies’ section of Petersfield Golf Club also enjoyed a splendid day at their annual presentation of trophies and Christmas tea.
Fifty ladies were delighted their club president Derek Mustchin and club captain Barry Lucas joined them for such a special day and to present the ladies with their 2016 trophies.
Despite the drizzle before playing, the ladies enjoyed a wonderful day.
