PETERSFIELD Golf Club’s ladies’ section have enjoyed another few weeks of golf weather and have taken advantage and played a number of tournaments.

The November Team Medley on Tuesday, November 1, where one score counted on par fives, two scores on par fours and three scores on par threes, was won by Di Brooks, Heather Anderson and Jenny Smith with 76 points.

The Winter Waltz on Tuesday, November 8, was won by Pam Carter, Lesley Eaton and Julia Blake with 73 points.

The Turkey Trot on Tuesday, November 15, was won by Eileen Barron with 39 points. Lyn Criddle finished in second place with 38 points, and Maire Stradling finished in third place with 36 points.

The golf club’s ladies’ section also organised a charity coffee morning.

The coffee morning takes a lot of organising and once again Heather Anderson organised this year’s event on behalf of the ladies’ section at the club.

For the first time this year’s event was a charity coffee morning with a Christmas Fair.

The ladies’ section were delighted to welcome 80 golfers and 13 non-golfer.

The weather was good and the course looked in good condition.

There were a few new stalls alongside the usual ones as well as delicious homemade goodies.

This year’s event raised £1,952, due in no small part to the ladies’ contributions, helpers and support from lots of men.
