PETERSFIELD Golf Club’s senior section have been keeping themselves busy.
On Thursday, November 19, 29 seniors played in a Turkey Trot, which was a stableford competition from the blue tees.
The results of the Turkey Trot were as follows: John Wardsmith was first with 38 points, David Dunglinson was second with 35 points, and Jeremy Hawton was third with 34 points. This was the first of a new winter competition for the John Henham-Barrow Trophy, which will be for the best four rounds in six designated competitions.
The Turkey Trot was followed by a lunch, the annual prize giving and then the annual general meeting of the seniors. The meeting was attended by 59 seniors who witnessed Terry Roach being installed as the seniors’ captain.
The next competition is on Thursday and it will be the St Andrews Trophy, which will be a greensome competition from the blue tees. The next match is away to Waterlooville tomorrow (Wednesday).
