PETERSFIELD Golf Club’s senior section have been keeping themselves busy.

On Thursday, December 10, there was a stableford competition from the blue tees. This was the second of six competitions for the John Henham-Barrow Trophy, the four best to count. John Major was first on countback with 36 points, William Oversby was second on countback with 36 points, and David Budd was third on countback with 35 points.

The next competition is on Thursday, December 17, and it will be the Gruesome Greensome. The Gruesome Greensome is a greensome stableford competition from the blue tees, where opponents have the option to choose which ball is played on a set number of holes. It will be followed by the senior section’s Christmas lunch.
