PETERSFIELD Golf Club’s senior section have been keeping themselves busy.
On Thursday, January 21, a yellow ball competition was played. This was a team of three stableford event where each member took turns to play the yellow ball, and the yellow ball and one other score counted on each hole. Derek Harrison, Terry Roach, and Barry Gibbs were first with 81 points, Dennis Bray, Barron Howell and Dave Dunglinson were second with 77 points, and Mike Andrews, Jack Beadle and Bob Musker were third with 68 points.
There was also an individual stableford competition on Thursday, January 21. Barry Gibbs was first on countback with 38 points, Baron Howell was second on countback with 38 points, and Bob Musker was third with 37 points.
The next competition is on Thursday, January 28, and it will be a stableford competition. It will be the third in the series of six in the John Henham-Barrow Trophy, where four of the six scores count toward the trophy.
