A GROUP of enthusiastic golfers played for the Napoleon Trophy at Petersfield Golf Club, and raised vital funds for charity in the process.

The event raised £1,500 in aid of the Macmillan cancer care charity.

The winner of the Napoleon Trophy with an impressive score of 43 points was Martin Tidbury.

In the pairs competition Tidbury and Mike Ansel were the victors.

At the dinner, which followed the trophy matches, Macmillan regional manager Helen Poursain presented the prizes and spoke about the aims and work of the charity.

The organisers of the event thanked the hole sponsors, the raffle prize donors and everybody else who helped to make the day a success.
