HERNE Junior School's girls' football team have a double success to celebrate.
Firstly, the team played against Western Church of England Primary School, from Winchester, in the final of the under-11 Hampshire Schools' Cup.
After a close first half Herne stormed to a 3-0 victory with a very strong display in the second half.
More than 20 teams from across Hampshire had entered the competition, and the victory crowned the team as the under-11 champions of Hampshire.
The team then took part in the annual Herne Junior School girls' tournament.
Twelve teams from across Hampshire came to compete in the tournament.
Herne won the tournament after seven wins without conceding a goal, and they beat Solent Junior School 3-0 in the final to seal their success.
That victory capped a perfect week for girls' football at Herne Junior School.
