Blackfield and Langley 2 Horndean 0
HORNDEAN missed out on finishing off their season with some silverware after losing to Blackfield and Langley in the final of the Russell Cotes Cup last Tuesday night.
Deans keeper Lyall Beazley's man-of-the-match heroics kept his side in the match almost single-handedly and, although they had their chances in the second half, Horndean couldn't quite get themselves back into the game after going 2-0 down.
The Deans almost went in front after only two minutes when Jack McFarlane's shot almost got the better of Blackfield keeper Jack Nicholson. But they found themselves behind a minute later when Dan Cann was sent clear on the right....
