THE 311TH running of Queen Elizabeth Country Park Parkrun on Saturday saw 134 people run, jog and walk the course.

Forty-three were first timers, 16 recorded new personal bests and representatives of 26 running clubs took part.

The first finisher was Toby Lambert, who ran with his dog and finished in 15min 27secs.

The first female runner home was Sandra Norwood, who finished in third place overall in a dog-assisted time of 19min 49secs. The first-placed non-assisted runner was Andre Jenson, who finished in second place in 19min 29secs.

The top junior performance of the day went to Marcus Taylor, who finished in 16th place overall in 22min 39secs.

The best unassisted age graded performance of the day was set by Liss Runners’ Andrew James. His time of 22min 17secs equated to an age grade score of 75.99 per cent.

The event was made possible by 14 volunteers who helped on the day. They were: Ivor McQuaid, Kevin McTaggart, Penny Johnstone, David Colenutt, Amelie Lewis, Andrew John James, Mark Straffon, Tessa Briggs, Tanya Roberts, Andrea Budden, Emlyn Jones, Max Becvar, Samantha Mbah and John Roberts.
