Gosport Borough Ladies III 2 Petersfield Ladies III 2: PETERSFIELD Ladies’ third team travelled to third-placed Gosport this week.

Lacking a goalie, midfielder Lowe stepped in. Petersfield showed their ability in the first half and had most of the possession. However, they failed to convert. Gosport managed to break a few times, but the defence were able to keep play well away from the goal. The first half ended goalless.

The second half started with an early break from Gosport, resulting in a short corner. The ball deflected off a Gosport stick and flew in over Lowe’s shoulder. Within a few minutes the scores were level once again as Roberts scored. Bardo then crossed the ball into the D, only for the goalie to kick it straight back at her. This allowed Bardo to finish with a tap between the keepers legs to put Petersfield in the lead. Petersfield battled to keep hold of this lead, with both Marks and Moses clearing a ball off the line. A last-minute error in the D led to another short corner, which allowed Gosport to equalise.
