CHILDREN in the Bordon area are being offered a new way of getting active this summer, thanks to the partnership between a Vitality Netball Superleague team and a leisure provider.
Mill Chase Leisure Centre has been selected as one of the first sites to host Hertfordshire Mavericks netball camps, which have been launched in partnership with Everyone Active.
Through the partnership, the two organisations aim to get an additional 20,000 girls and women partaking in some form of netball-related activity over the next three years.
The camps will introduce young people to the game during fun and friendly sessions that are designed to suit all abilities, but also provide opportunities for those with a flair for the sport to develop and progress.
Mill Chase Leisure Centre has been specially selected by Everyone Active to host one of the first netball camps. The three-day camp will run from Tuesday, August 29, to Thursday, August 31, for children aged between nine and 13 years old.
Everyone Active’s contract manager David Love said: “We are delighted to be hosting these camps in partnership with Hertfordshire Mavericks.”
