LIPHOOK’S Tri-High Multi-Sports Club welcomed a star-studded team from Harlequins’ first team rugby squad last week.

The Harlequins team, which includes ex-England captain Chris Robshaw, England scrum-half Danny Care, England fullback Mike Brown, Wales centre Jamie Roberts, Wales prop Adam Jones, England prop Joe Marler and many more players, were put through their paces at Highfield School’s training facilities as part of their pre-season preparations.

Harlequins are in pre-season action on Saturday, when they will face Bristol.

Ex-Harlequins and England Colleges scrum-half Barney Gray, who is also the founder and chairman of Tri-High Multi-Sports Club, said: “It was great to welcome the Harlequins team to Liphook, they threw themselves into a team triathlon challenge which not only tested their endurance but also their swimming, cycling, running and team skills.

“We would encourage any school, club or business keen to develop their team training to give it a try.”

Tri-High Multi-Sports is the local triathlon club for Liphook and the surrounding area and organises triathlon and multi-sports events for schools, clubs and businesses.
