LORD Sebastian Coe, President of the International Association of Athletics Federations, visited Goodwood to enjoy Ultimate Driving At Goodwood.
Joining Lord March to try the Off Road experience on the 12,000 acre estate, they undertook the challenging terrain in a top of the range BMW X5.
Following the Off Road experience, Lord Coe took to the wheel at Goodwood Motor Circuit to try his hand at high speed track driving in a performance BMW M Series, driving in the tracks of racing heroes such as Sir Stirling Moss, Sir Jackie Stewart and Jim Clark.
Lord Coe said: “I have been driving BMW’s for many years, but only on the road so I really enjoyed experiencing the power of a BMW on the famous Goodwood racing circuit as well as an off road experience in a BMW X5 through the magnificent Goodwood estate.”
Ultimate Driving at Goodwood launched in October 2014 in partnership with BMW, MINI and Michelin. It features a range of driving experiences including off road, track and young drivers.
All activities are set within Goodwood which has been home to the Duke of Richmond and his family for more than 300 years.
Following an adventurous morning in Ultimate Driving’s fleet of luxury BMWs, Lord Coe enjoyed an afternoon of racing at Goodwood’s Season Finale fixture, the last before the Racecourse breaks for winter.
