IT WAS an impressive weekend of firsts for new Liss Athletic manager Rich Bessey.

Saturday's 2-0 win over Clanfield in the Hampshire Premier League was the side's first win since November, their first clean sheet since September 2013 and a first win over Clanfield since February 2013.

As if that wasn't enough luck going in his favour, two of Bessey's new signings scored the goals in the second half to bring the victory.

The East Hampshire derby was 0-0 at half time but the visitors took the lead at Peel Park in the 68th minute through John Davis' goal. Daniel Jones put Liss 2-0 ahead on 80 minutes....
