HORNDEAN manager Dave Carter has added plenty of signings to his Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division squad ahead of the new season.

He is hoping his mixture of players returning to Five Heads Park and new faces will help to propel the club into the top ten places in the division.

One key signing could turn out to be striker Robbie Tambling, who scored almost 60 goals in his two season spell with Petersfield Town.

He notched 40 goals for the Rams in Division 1 and almost hit 20 in the Premier Division in what proved to be an injury-hit season for him.

Midfielder Ian Humble has joined the Deans from Fareham Town, as has defender Louie Martin.

Midfielder Liam Bradbury has signed from Havant and Waterlooville, while the defence has been further strengthened by the signings of Josh Maddison from AFC?Portchester and Nick Tayler from Blackfield and Langley.

Captain and keeper Lyall Beazley is back on Horndean’s books, as is striker Harry Potter.

Horndean start their season at home to Blackfield and Langley on Saturday (3pm) before travelling to Newport IOW?on Tuesday night.
