NOMINATIONS are being sought for the East Hampshire Sports Awards 2019.
The awards recognise sportsmen and women at every level, as well as the coaches and volunteers who help them succeed.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday, January 31, with finalists invited to an awards evening, hosted by Roger Black, on Thursday, March 14, at Old Thorns Manor Hotel in Liphook.
The annual, prestigious sports awards ceremony is organised by East Hampshire District Council to publicly recognise sporting achievement.
Nominations are sought in the following categories: Junior Sportsperson of the Year, Junior Disability Sportsperson of the Year, Junior Team of the Year, School Team of the Year, Sportsperson of the Year, Disability Sportsperson of the Year, Coach of the Year, Team of the Year, Service to Sport, Club of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Outstanding Personal Achievement.
Nominees are assessed by a judging panel and winners are required to meet criteria specific for each category.
Everyone Active, a major leisure contractor that manages more than 170 leisure and cultural centres across the United Kingdom, and the Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company, are sponsoring the event as part of their aims to encourage people to take part in sport and exercise.
