LIPHOOK’S Olivia Breen won her first gold medal at a major championships when she helped Team GB win the 4x100m relay at the IPC World Championships on Saturday.

Breen, Maria Lyle, Georgie Hermitage and Sophie Hahn won the race in a new world record time in the T35-38 event of 52.22secs, smashing the previous best by over a second.

It completed a decent championships in Qatar for the 19-year-old. Breen finished fourth in the 100m final and she took part in the long jump for the first time for Great Britain and finished sixth with a best jump of 4.27m.

She was fourth in the 200m final.
