MORE than 1,000 people flocked to Longmoor Camp, near Liphook, on Saturday to complete Brooks HellRunner Hell down South.

With the weather set to freezing and numerous ice-cold water features thrown into the mix, including the Bog of Doom, those who took on the challenge crossed the line to the sounds of the Devil’s Disco and wearing victorious smiles.

Watching the victims on the day was the man in charge of the affair, event director Paul Magner.

“The beauty of our events is the fact that they are all-natural,” said Paul.

“There is no shying away from mother nature, our routes take people through to the edge of their comfort zone and provide the ultimate in personal challenges.

“This weekend was the final event in the 12th Brooks HellRunner Series and it was great to see so many faces take to the toughest running challenge in the UK and still finish with a smile on their face.”
