ON SATURDAY, January 16, thousands of brave souls will be getting back to nature, tackling Brooks HellRunner Hell down South at the renowned military training area at Longmoor Camp, near Bordon.
As the Brooks HellRunner series enters a 12th year the number of people prepared to go to hell and back for charity fundraising and an unsparing personal challenge continues to inspire.
The route is 100 per cent natural, making for a truly unique event, controlled only by mother nature and the ever unpredictable English weather.
Even with hell in the title the event’s notoriety abounds with participants champing at the bit to take on the challenge.
Previous events have seen pirates, brides, cavemen and angels taking to the challenge and this time round will be no exception as serious battlers line up next to groups in fancy dress for a day braving the elements.
Along the way they will tackle The Hills of Hell, be greeted by angels at the Heaven from Hell zone and be blasted by music and pyrotechnics as they endure the Bog of Doom.
Those who complete the challenge will be greeted over the finish line with a deluxe goody bag, HellRunner medal, and a Brooks technical HellRunner T-shirt.
The event is the finale in a three-strong series across the UK.
All three routes fulfil the Brooks HellRunner’s all-natural promise with muddy surprises after every turn.
