THE 276TH running of Queen Elizabeth Country Park Parkrun on Saturday saw 85 people run, jog and walk the course.
Thirty were first timers, nine recorded new personal bests and representatives of 26 running clubs took part.
The first finisher was Christopher Peck, from Waverley Harriers, who crossed the line in an impressive time of 17min 30secs.
The first female runner home was Abby Quinn, who finished in 29th place overall in a time of 25min 26secs.
The leading junior runner was Harry Haines, who finished in 15th place overall in a new personal best time of 22min 39secs.
The top age grade score was set by Godfrey Rhimes. He finished in eighth place overall in a time of 21min 49secs. This equated to a 76.85 per cent age grading running in the VM65-69 category.
Former Clanfield resident Andrew Turner visited from Melbourne, Australia, and finished in sixth place overall in a time of 20min 39secs.
There were two significant milestone runs by Queen Elizabeth Country Park Parkrun regulars.
Megan Morrison-Chapman completed her 50th parkrun and Marilyn Crocker completed her 100th.
The event was made possible by 11 volunteers who helped out on the day – they were Lorna Richard, Sarah Wade, Jane Woodroof, Nicholas Woodroof, Sandra Humphrey, Sara Rhimes, Godfrey Rhimes, Beverley Tune, Tanya Roberts, Nicholas Minter and John Roberts.
