Petersfield Ladies 1 New Forest Ladies 4: PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s ladies’ first team represented the club in the Hampshire Hockey Trophy cup final.

The first 15 minutes of the game saw a very nervous Petersfield team struggle to get into the flow of the game. This allowed New Forest to take control and score three goals in this period of play. Petersfield then settled into their stride and the opposition now had a contest on their hands.

The Petersfield midfield and forward line worked tirelessly to close the gap in goal difference. They had many shots on goal but none went in. The score at half time was 3-0 to New Forest.

In the second half Petersfield continued to match the opposition and Jenny Sinclair scored a fine reverse stick goal for Petersfield. New Forest then came straight back on the offensive and scored another goal. There were no further goals and New Forest won the game 4-1.
