FIELD'S 1st XV struggled to an unconvincing win over bottom of the league Alton.

The result means that Field have done the league double over their rivals, having beaten them at Penns Place by 21 points back in mid-December.

Then, as now, Field's win against Alton stopped a run of losses and there were numerous other similarities between the ties.

While they had the bulk of possession and territory, Field were once again guilty of poor execution and a hatful of errors that allowed the hosts to relieve the pressure....
