Petersfield 3 Bournemouth III 3: PETERSFIELD welcomed Bournemouth’s third team on an overcast Saturday afternoon.

Petersfield made a bright start and Harris scored twice to give the hosts a 2-0 lead.

Bournemouth then came into the game and put the hosts under pressure, but Petersfield got to half time with their 2-0 lead still in place.

Bournemouth started the second half well and continued to put Petersfield under pressure.

The visitors nearly pulled a goal back when their striker flicked the ball on the angle towards the net.

It looked to be heading in until wing-back Rye made a stick save on the line.

Bournemouth continued to battle away and were soon rewarded as they pulled a goal back to make it 2-1.

Petersfield were creating chances though and came close to scoring another goal with a Harris drag flick from a penalty corner.

Bournemouth then grabbed a second goal when they sneaked the ball past keeper Smith and defender Clay on the post.

Both sides had chances to take the lead, and it was Petersfield who went ahead when Atkinson fired the ball past the Bournemouth goalkeeper.

Bournemouth put Petersfield under heavy pressure and the home side made a flurry of mistakes.

Clay received a green card for a late challenge, reducing the home side to ten men.

The equaliser arrived for the visitors from a penalty corner goal, and the points were shared by the teams.
