PETERSFIELD Hockey Club’s under-eights were in sparkling form at the Chichester tournament, recording four wins and two draws.

Their success was built on an impeccable defence, led by Morley, Wiggington and McKenzie, and they didn’t concede a single goal in six matches. In midfield the combative C Rowland and Weller also did much to break down opposition attacks. Upfront the goals were scored by the marauding Hulme, Pattison and S Rowland, who helped Petersfield net 10 unanswered goals, while Thomas showed promise and determination in her first tournament.
