Yateley III 0 Petersfield 5: PETERSFIELD were determined to win after suffering a heavy defeat in their previous game.

Petersfield had the push back to start the game. Hedges passed to Ivey, who carried the ball to the opposition 25-yard line and passed it to Eddy. Eddy drove the ball down the right-hand side of the pitch at pace and hit it to the top of the D, where Sinclair was waiting. Sinclair placed the ball into the goal. The first ten minutes set the tone for the first half of the game, which saw the visitors dominate in attack. Eddy and Hedges scored a goal each, making the score 3-0 at half time.

Yateley came out fighting in the second half. They had restructured their team and started to break through Petersfield’s defensive line-up. After a hard 15 minutes in defence, the visitors settled and took back control of the game. Ivey dominated in the centre and distributed the ball well to wingers Simmons and Eddy. Petersfield’s efforts paid off with Sinclair and Eddy scoring again before the final whistle to make it 5-0.
